Andiamo nelle Dolomiti!

Imagine waking up in the Italian Alps, stepping outside a cozy mountain hut, and breathing in crisp alpine air as towering limestone peaks glow pink in the morning light.

You feel most alive outside when you’re hiking, climbing, moving your body, chasing views - and you know there’s another level of strength, confidence, and clarity that’s ready to come forward. This retreat is where you step into that.

There’s something powerful that happens when you step into the mountains.

The distractions fade. Your mind clears. Your body remembers what it’s capable of.

And somewhere along the way, you stop questioning yourself so much… and start trusting yourself more.

Through movement, breath, and shared adventure, this retreat is about building real strength (physically, mentally, and emotionally) and bringing that version of you back into your everyday life.

Together we’ll hike hut-to-hut along the Alta Via 1, moving through dramatic alpine landscapes, sharing incredible Italian meals, breathing deeply, laughing often, and creating the kind of memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.

You’ll be surrounded by a group of adventurous, like-minded women - the kind who show up, support each other, and aren’t afraid to challenge themselves.

The kind of crew you didn’t know you needed… until you find them.

This is your chance to step out of your routine, into the mountains, and into a version of yourself that feels stronger, more confident, and fully alive.

What to Expect

This 10 day retreat takes place in the Italian Dolomites, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world.

We’ll spend 8 days trekking the Alta Via 1 trail moving hut to hut through stunning alpine landscapes and staying in traditional mountain rifugios along the way.

Think dramatic peaks, rolling meadows, cozy huts, and pasta that tastes even better after a long day on the trail.

Each day will include:

• Guided alpine trekking through the Dolomites
• Stunning panoramic views and epic trails
• Time to slow down and soak in the mountains
• Breathwork and meditations for nervous system regulation & resilience
• Incredible Italian meals shared with the group
• Plenty of laughter and connection

There will be moments that challenge you.

Moments that surprise you.

And moments where you stop on the trail, look around, and think, “Wow… I can’t believe I’m actually here!”

This Retreat Is For You If…

  • You’ve been craving a challenge that feels exciting and a little intimidating - the kind that gets you out of your routine, into the mountains, and reminds you what you’re capable of.

  • You love being outside - hiking, climbing, skiing, camping, or exploring new places, and the idea of spending multiple days moving through the mountains sounds like your kind of adventure.

  • You’ve caught yourself wondering if you’re strong enough to do something like this — and a part of you really wants to find out.

  • You want to feel confident in the mountains and trust in your body — trusting your strength, your pace, and your ability to handle challenges when they show up.

  • You’re excited to find your people — the kind of humans who will cheer you on, laugh together at the rifugio after a long day, and celebrate every pass, peak, and small victory along the way.

  • You’ve been feeling a little stuck in routine — work, responsibilities, and the same daily patterns — and you’re craving something that wakes you up and makes you feel fully alive again.

  • You want to step away from the noise for a while — the constant notifications, to-do lists, and mental chatter — and spend time somewhere that lets your nervous system finally exhale.

  • You want to prove something to yourself (not to anyone else) - that you can show up for a challenge and see it through.

  • You’re ready for an experience that’s more than just a vacation — something that leaves you feeling stronger, clearer, and proud of yourself when it’s over.

  • You’re the kind of person who can go with the flow on an adventure — mountain weather, shared rifugios, and a little unpredictability are all part of the experience, and you’re here for it.

  • You want to walk away from this week thinking: “Holy sh*t, I did that… and I’m stronger because of it.”

Retreat Itinerary

*Breathwork and reflections will be woven throughout the retreat

**Activities apart from the trek are subject to change as I finalize the flow

  • We’ll begin the adventure with a scenic drive from Venice to Cortina d’Ampezzo (transport included), one of the most iconic alpine towns in the Dolomites and a host location for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

After checking into our hotel, you’ll have time to explore town, grab a coffee or gelato, and take in your first views of the mountains.

In the evening we’ll meet our guide and gather for a welcome dinner - the perfect way to kick off the adventure together.

Then it’s time to get some rest… tomorrow we hit the trail!

  • After breakfast, a short transfer brings us to Lago di Braies, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Dolomites. After a quick photo, we’ll leave the crowds behind and begin our first climb with incredible views over the turquoise lake.

We’ll cross a high mountain pass before continuing across open alpine terrain, with opportunities along the way for a classic Dolomites coffee and cake break.

Today’s hike takes us through the beautiful Fanes–Sennes–Braies Nature Park, one of the most stunning protected areas in the Dolomites.

Tonight we stay at a traditional mountain hut (rifugio) surrounded by the majestic peaks.

    Distance: 9.2 miles
    Elevation Gain: 3,375 feet

  • Today we head deeper into the mountains, hiking across wide alpine plateaus dotted with small lakes and sweeping views.

We’ll climb toward a narrow mountain pass before descending to a beautiful alpine lake tucked between towering peaks — the kind of place where it’s hard not to stop and simply take it all in.

By late afternoon we arrive at our rifugio for the evening, where a warm meal and mountain sunset await.

    Distance: 9.4 miles
    Elevation Gain: 3,620 ft

  • We’ll begin the day with expansive views across the Dolomites before traversing dramatic rocky trails toward the famous Cinque Torri, one of the most recognizable rock formations in the region.

Here we’ll explore an open-air World War I museum, where restored trenches, bunkers, and lookout posts offer a powerful glimpse into the history of these mountains.

Tonight we stay at another cozy rifugio, where hikers and climbers from around the world gather to share stories of the day.

    Distance: 6.8 miles
    Elevation Gain: 3,610 ft

  • If the weather cooperates, we’ll start the day watching the first light touch the peaks before heading back onto the trail.

Today’s route winds through a series of scenic mountain passes before bringing us beneath Monte Pelmo, one of the most dramatic and recognizable mountains in the Dolomites.

By afternoon we arrive at our rifugio for the night, a perfect place to relax, refuel, and soak in another beautiful evening in the mountains.

    Distance: 10.6 miles
    Elevation Gain: 1,970 ft

  • Today’s route brings us past a stunning alpine lake before traversing beneath the towering northwest face of Monte Civetta.

This massive limestone wall stretches high above the trail and is known as “the wall of all walls” among climbers — one of the most iconic faces in the entire Alps.

The trail winds along the base of the cliffs before leading us to our rifugio for the evening.

    Distance: 9.3 miles
    Elevation Gain: 3,120 ft

  • Leaving our rifugio behind, we continue our journey beneath the dramatic cliffs of the Moiazza range.

This section of trail feels a bit more rugged and adventurous, with winding mountain paths, rocky terrain, and sweeping alpine scenery.

By the end of the day we reach our cozy rifugio for the night, tucked into the mountains and the perfect place to rest after another incredible day on the trail.

    Distance: 6.2 miles
    Elevation Gain: 2,215 ft

  • Today we enter Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, where the landscape becomes quieter, wilder, and more remote.

We’ll hike through beech forests and open alpine slopes before climbing to a high pass where the views stretch across the surrounding valleys.

Tonight we stay at a small rifugio deep in the park, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Dolomites.

    Distance: 10 miles
    Elevation Gain: 3,770 ft

  • Our final morning begins with one last climb before starting the long descent toward the valley below.

Along the way we’ll stop for one final mountain coffee — a small moment to pause and appreciate everything we’ve experienced over the past week.

At the trailhead our transfer will be waiting to take us to the charming town of Belluno, where we’ll celebrate the adventure we’ve just completed together!

    Distance: ~9 miles
    Elevation Gain: 1,310 ft

  • After an incredible week in the mountains, it’s time to say goodbye — likely with plenty of hugs and promises of future adventures.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before departing for Venice Airport or continuing your travels through Italy.

Before we part ways, we’ll share one final Italian goodbye:

Arrivederci — until we meet again.

What Past Adventurers Are Saying

“This was a trip of lifetime! Tricia brought together a beautiful group of women with diverse backgrounds. She helped us through preparations along the year and hosted calls prior to the retreat to help answer questions and build community. I felt like I knew these women before I arrived in Tanzania. The retreat felt like the perfect mix of reflection, restoration, and laughter.

Karlee I Kilimanjaro 2025

“Our retreat to climb Mt Kilimanjaro was nothing short of life-changing. Having the opportunity to make this climb with 7 other awesome women, and under the care of an experienced and professional guiding company, was nothing short of amazing. Each day was filled with laughs, connection with nature, physical challenge, awe-inspiring scenery, and an atmosphere of adventure and mutual support. While we did all summit successfully, this trip was about so much more than that. Thank you, Tricia, for your efforts in making this a once-in-a-lifetime memory!”

The Experience

Most people sign up for a retreat like this because they want an adventure.

And yes — you’ll absolutely get that.

But something deeper tends to happen along the way.

When you spend multiple days in the mountains, moving your body, navigating new terrain, and pushing through moments of challenge, something shifts internally.

By the end of the retreat, you will walk away:

Feeling stronger in your body
Spending days moving through the mountains has a way of reconnecting you with your body.

You’ll climb passes, cross valleys, and wake up each morning realizing your legs are stronger than they were the day before.

By the end of the retreat, you’re realizing your body is capable of more than you’ve been giving it credit for.

With confidence that integrates into your daily life
Confidence doesn’t come from motivational quotes.

It comes from experiences where you step into something that feels a little intimidating… and realize you can handle it.

Every climb, every long day on the trail, every moment where you move through discomfort becomes evidence that you are capable of more than you thought.

And once you’ve felt that in the mountains, the challenges waiting for you back home feel easier.

With quiet in your mind
Your life feels full - work, responsibilities, always thinking about what’s next. But, in the mountains, the pace slows, your mind gets quieter, and your nervous system finally gets a chance to rest.

Between the fresh mountain air, time in nature, and simple breathwork practices woven throughout the retreat, you’ll leave feeling steady, grounded, and back in your own energy again.

Connected to your people
You will build strong friendships with people you’re sharing meaningful challenges with.

Between the climbs and the views, there will be laughter, storytelling, and plenty of moments where you’ll look around and say,

“Can you believe we’re actually here?!”

By the end of the retreat, you’ve created a community that pushed through something real together. And who knows what fun adventure that could lead to next!

Trusting yourself more
Out here, you learn to listen to your body, pace yourself, and move through challenges one step at a time. You don’t have to prove anything - you just show up, keep going, and see what happens.

And somewhere along the way, you begin to trust yourself more - your strength, your instincts, and your ability to handle whatever comes next.

That kind of self trust goes home with you where it gets to live inside you for the rest of your life.

You might come for the adventure. But you’ll leave realizing something much bigger… you’re stronger & more capable than you ever thought possible.

What Sets My Retreats Apart

Adventure With Purpose

Yes, we’re here for the adventure.

But we’re also here for what the adventure teaches us — resilience, perspective, and confidence.

Travel and time in nature have been some of the biggest catalysts for growth in my own life. They’ve pushed me outside my comfort zone, helped me build confidence, and shown me what I’m capable of in ways nothing else has.

That’s the intention behind this experience.

When you spend days moving through the mountains, facing challenges, celebrating wins, and being fully present, something shifts. You start trusting your body, your instincts, and your ability to handle more than you thought you could.

And that strength doesn’t stay in the mountains. You get to bring it home with you!

Breathwork for Real Life Strength

Breathwork isn’t just something we do on a yoga mat.

It’s one of the most powerful tools we have and it’s something that’s had a big impact on my own life. I used to deal with a lot of overthinking and self-doubt, always feeling like I needed to push harder or prove something. Breathwork helped me slow down, regulate my nervous system, and feel more grounded and confident in myself - not because things got easier, but because I knew how to handle them.

Throughout the retreat, I’ll share simple, practical breathing techniques you can use:

• On the trail when things get tough
• To calm your nervous system and build mental resilience
• To stay steady and confident when you’re back home dealing with daily stressors

A Balance of Challenge and Joy

We’ll push ourselves on the trail.

But we’ll also laugh a lot, share incredible meals, and celebrate the adventure together.

Because growth and fun can absolutely exist in the same place.

Some of my favorite moments from experiences like this are the ones at the end of the day. Sitting around a table in a rifugio, swapping stories, and laughing until my stomach hurts. That’s when I feel the most alive — fully present, not thinking about anything else, just being here with really good people.

That kind of laughter has always been medicine for me. It brings me back into my body, out of my head, and reminds me what life is actually about.

That mix of challenge, connection, and joy is what makes the whole experience stick with you long after the trip ends.

What Past Adventurers Are Saying

“I've been on two retreats hosted by Tricia and about to go on a third this fall. Tricia creates such a fun but challenging and reflective atmosphere. I love that they're focused on women, and even though they're retreats where you focus on growth and reflection, they're also like girls trips. She makes you feel like instant friends. Each retreat gets better and you can see her learning from each one. Highly recommend reaching out to her for support or to attend one of her retreats!”

Anonymous I US 2023, Mexico 2024, Kilimanjaro 2025

“This was an amazing trip filled with self growth and amazing community. The activities planned by Tricia were so fun and well thought out. Cannot wait to go on another retreat!”

Meet Your Retreat Host & Hiking Guide

Tricia Sexton

Retreat Host

Some of the most powerful moments of my life have happened outside - on mountain trails, in new countries, and in places that pushed me a little (or a lot!) outside my comfort zone.

I’ve spent years traveling and living abroad in places like Tanzania, Nepal, Costa Rica, and beyond. Along the way I realized something: adventure has a way of changing you. When you step away from your normal routine and challenge yourself, you start to see what you’re capable of in a whole new way.

Today I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, where the mountains are part of everyday life. I’m a breathwork facilitator, retreat leader, and adventure lover, and I create experiences that bring together movement, nature, and community.

Travel and nature have been some of my greatest teachers. They’ve shown me that when we step outside our comfort zones, we often discover strength we didn’t know we had.

That’s exactly the kind of experience I aim to create on this retreat for you.
