Here’s a little bit about my journey…
I Didn’t Always See This Life Coming
If you’d told me years ago that I’d be guiding breathwork, leading adventure retreats around the world, and working with teams and organizations, I probably would’ve laughed if your face.
My path here wasn’t smooth or linear by any means. It was shaped by challenge, curiosity, and a lot of learning along the way. Every experience, even the messy ones, led to where I am today.
Where I Started
Growing up, I dealt with a lot of bullying and carried that weight for years. I spent a long time feeling disconnected from myself and unsure of where I belonged. Like many people, I tried to cope in ways that numbed the discomfort rather than healed it - unhealthy habits, relationships, and patterns that kept me stuck.
For a long time, I felt like I was drifting through life without a clear sense of purpose or self-worth.
Strength, Travel, and the Outdoors Changed Everything
Everything began to shift when I stepped into a gym and started working with a personal trainer (thanks, Mom!). For the first time, I felt strong… not just physically, but mentally.
Movement became a way back to myself. The gym turned into a space where I could build confidence, feel capable, and start believing in my own strength again. That spark changed the trajectory of my life.
That strength carried me into nearly a decade of traveling and living abroad in places like Tanzania, Nepal, and Costa Rica. I climbed mountains, immersed myself in new cultures, and learned firsthand how much growth happens outside your comfort zone.
Travel gave me perspective, resilience, and a deeper understanding of people and the world. But even then, I noticed something important: I had changed on the outside, yet internally, some old patterns were still running the show.
I was strong, adventurous, and capable… and part of me still didn’t fully believe I was worthy of more.
Breathwork Was the Missing Piece
Breathwork and nervous-system work were the pieces that helped everything click.
For the first time, I wasn’t just pushing harder - I was actually releasing what my body had been holding for years. Breathwork helped me build confidence, regulate stress, and stop living in constant survival mode.
It taught me how to stay grounded under pressure, trust myself more fully, and move through life with more clarity and ease.
The work is ongoing (because life is), but I’m deeply grateful for the woman I’ve become - grounded, resilient, and connected to myself in a way I never was before.
Why I Created Rooted Journey
Rooted Journey is the integration of everything I’ve lived, learned, and practiced - breathwork, fitness, mindset work, travel, and a deep love for nature and adventure.
I created Rooted Journey for people who live active, full lives - the hikers, climbers, athletes, leaders, and driven humans who are great at pushing forward but don’t always slow down long enough to process what they’re carrying.
Rooted Journey exists to help you:
Build resilience without burning out
Release stress and emotional weight that movement alone doesn’t always clear
Feel confident and grounded under pressure
Reconnect with yourself through breath, movement, and time in nature
The intention is the same no matter who you are: to support people in doing hard things without losing themselves along the way.
